Police make arrest - Assaultin Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a male youth following an incident in Alice Springs yesterday.

Just after 3pm four youths were riding down Kempeana Crescent when it is alleged one of them was assaulted by a 17-year-old male.

The youths returned to a nearby school and reported the incident to police.

The victim was taken to the Alice Springs Hospital and later released after being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police investigations identified and located the offender who was arrested and charged with one count each of Going Armed in public and Assault a person who suffered harm.

The youth was bailed to appear before court later this month.
