Police make arrest - Drug Driving at Casuarina

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 39-year-old man earlier this morning for drug driving offences.

Shortly after 12.30am, Strike Force Trident members observed a vehicle travelling towards Casuarina at excessive speed.

The vehicle was apprehended and the driver was subject to a road side drug test which returned a positive result.

The 39-year-old was arrested and conveyed to Palmerston Watch House where he returned a positive result for methamphetamine.

He was issued a Notice to Appear for:

  • drive with prohibited drug in body
  • possess schedule 2 less than traffickable dangerous drug
