Police make arrest - Fremantle Assault

Fremantle Detectives have charged a 19-year-old man as a result of their investigation into an incident in Fremantle on Monday, 5 April 2021.

Around 1.50am, it is alleged the 19-year-old man entered a restaurant located on South Terrace in company with four other men.

It is alleged a physical altercation broke out between several people and during the altercation a 29-year-old man attempted to intervene and stop the assault when he was punched to the head and body before falling to the ground. It is further alleged whilst the victim was on the ground he was further assaulted.

The 19-year-old man from Rivervale has been charged with:-

• Unlawful act or omission with intent to harm (endangering life, health or safety of any person)

He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 30 April 2021.
