Police make arrest over unlawful entry/Animal cruelty - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in relation to his involvement in a violent incident in Palmerston late last month.

Yesterday, Batchelor members were conducting an RBT operation in Berry Springs, when they identified the man as a passenger in the vehicle. When questioned by police, he provided a false name and made attempts to hide his face.

He was arrested at the scene and taken to Palmerston Watch House. He has since been charged with:

  • Unlawfully entering a dwelling and causing serious damage
  • Damage to property x 3
  • Possess traffickable quantity of schedule 2 dangerous drug
  • Drive disqualified
  • Furnish false name
  • Breach of bail

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
