Police make arrest - Stolen motor vehicle in Alice Springs 21 June

Members of Strike Force Viper have arrested and charged a 14 year old male in relation to the theft of a vehicle from a Katherine home earlier this month.

On 9 June, it will be alleged two youths unlawfully entered a home in Katherine and stole a Toyota Hilux, which was later reported in a service station drive-off the same night.

It will be further alleged a 14-year-old male destroyed and removed his Electronic Monitoring Device on 10 June.

Strike Force Viper in collaboration with Strike Force Cerberus from the Katherine region, worked together and located the youth in Alice Springs.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Alice Springs Watch House where he was charged with one count each of Aggravated Enter Dwelling Intent to Commit Offence and Unlawful Use of a Motor vehicle. He will also face one count of Breach of Bail.

The youth has been remanded in custody to appear before court at a later date.
