Police make arrest - Threatening behaviour - Berrimah

Northern Territory Police arrested a 50-year-old man last night after he allegedly threatened his employer with a firearm.

Detective A/Senior Sergeant Andrew Kren said, "Police attended the business in Pruen Road and cordoned off the area as a precaution around 6pm. Negotiators engaged with the offender, who was taken into custody around 9pm. He was not in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest and nobody was injured."

The crime scene remained in place overnight. This morning police undertook an evidence search in the area and located a firearm.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing and Serious Crime detective expect to lay charges later this evening.
