Police Officer Charged 29 September

State Traffic Command officers have charged a 31-year-old male Senior Constable from the Traffic Enforcement Group with Reckless Driving following an incident in Baldivis on Tuesday 16 June 2020.
It is alleged about 8.30am the officer drove at excessive speed without being properly authorised to do so, while attempting to stop a motorcycle in Baldivis. The officer was on-duty and driving a marked police vehicle at the time.
It will be further alleged the officer drove at 171km/h in a 100km/h speed zone.
The Senior Constable was charged with Reckless Driving and is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 29 September 2020. He has been placed on restricted duties until the matter is finalised.
