Police officer injured at testing station overnight, South Australia

Police are looking for the driver of a car after he allegedly ran over a police officer's foot overnight at Mile End.

Just before 1am on Tuesday 1 January, police were conducting a driver testing station on the southern side of Henley Beach Road when a white Mazda sedan was directed into the station for a breath test.

The driver slowed down and then accelerated away running over the officer's foot in the process. The Mazda was last seen heading west along Henley Beach Road.

The officer was taken to the Wakefield Hospital for treatment and discharged a few hours later. Investigations are continuing.
