Police probe armed robbery in Randwick

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Randwick last night, NSW Police say.

About 10 pm today, a man armed with a knife entered the store on Belmore Road, and threatened staff, demanding cash.

The two staff members complied with his demands before the man fled with an amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command with the assistance of the Dog Unit conducted a patrol of the area, however, the man was not found.

A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.

Police are hoping to speak with a man who might be able to assist with inquiries. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, and wearing a blue hooded jumper, jeans and white joggers.
