Police probe bicycle and pedestrian crash in Sutherland

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash at Sutherland today, NSW Police say.

About 8.45am today, police and emergency services were called to Acton Street and Toronto Parade, following reports of a bicycle and pedestrian crash.

The rider, a man aged in his 50s suffered a broken leg; while the pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, sustained head injuries.

Both were taken by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to St George Hospital, where the woman is in a critical condition.

A crime scene was established and investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
