Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate a fatal collision in Colac West yesterday.
It is understood a red Mazda CX3 collided with a motorbike on Princes Highway near Corangamite Lake Road just after 11.30am.
The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old NSW woman, was then struck by a Toyota Landcruiser travelling in the westbound lane.
Both drivers stopped at the scene to assist police.
The driver of the Mazda, a 77-year-old Larpent woman, was interviewed by detectives and released pending further enquiries.
No one else was injured during the incident and the exact circumstances are being investigated.
