A crime scene has been established after the body of a woman was discovered in a home north of Wollongong, NSW Police say.
About 1.10am (Friday 5 October 2018), emergency services were called to a home on Lorking Street, Bellambi, after the body of a 39-year-old woman was located inside.
The body had suffered serious injuries and her death is being treated as suspicious.
A baby boy was also located in the home uninjured.
Officers from Wollongong Police District have commenced an investigation into the incident and the scene will be forensically examined.
