Police can now release the name of the man who died following a fleeing driver event in Dunedin early on Saturday.
He was 26-year-old Michael McClelland, of Dunedin.
The circumstances of the crash, in which a vehicle fled Police following a burglary at a Hillside Road liquor store, remain under investigation.
Three men in their 20s have been remanded in custody to reappear in court in June on burglary charges, and a fourth man currently in hospital also faces a burglary charge.
Further charges are possible.
