Police Respond to Serious Crash in Bloomsbury

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a serious traffic crash at Bloomsbury yesterday afternoon, 23 May.

Investigations indicate about 2.30pm, a KTM motorbike and a white Toyota Hiace were travelling in opposite directions along Lindeman Drive when they collided.

The rider of the motorbike, a 14-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Toyota a 42-year-old Bloomsbury woman was not physically injured.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the motorbike or vehicle prior to the crash to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
