Police Respond to Serious Crash Near Hamley Bridge

Police are investigating a crash at Alma in the state's Mid North last night.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Alma Road and Almond Tree Road, about 12km north of Hamley Bridge, just after 7pm on Friday 29 May, following reports of a collision between a Kia SUV and a Toyota 4WD.

The driver of the Toyota, a 65-year-old Mid North woman, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital. Her 6-year-old and 3-year-old passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Kia, a 24-year-old Auburn woman, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
