Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Nimbin

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's north yesterday.

Just before 2pm (Wednesday 22 December 2021), emergency services were called to Blue Knob Road near Blade Road, Nimbin, after reports of a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Daihatsu collided.

The motorcyclist – a male believed to be aged in his late teens - died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the vehicle – a 41-year-old man - was uninjured and was taken to Nimbin Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Richmond Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
