Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Woree

A motorcyclist has died following a crash at Woree.

Around 2pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the intersection of Toogood Road and Torino Street where they found a Harley Davidson had been struck by a truck.

Members of the public rendered first aid to the man before he was transported to hospital by paramedics. The 72-year-old Bayview Heights man died overnight as a result of his injuries.

The male truck driver, aged 45, was not physically injured as a result of the collision.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward as investigations continue.
