Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Rungoo

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two vehicle traffic crash at Rungoo, north of Ingham, that occurred yesterday afternoon, May 18.

Initial investigations indicate that around 12:45pm, a grey Holden sedan and a Scania G450 prime mover have collided on the Bruce Highway near the Mullers Conn Range Track.

The male driver and single occupant of the Holden was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver and single occupant of the Scania, a 59-year-old Kullogum man, sustained minor injuries.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV video footage to contact police.
