Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Kilcoy Area

Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a traffic crash in Royston this afternoon.

Initial inquiries indicate around 2pm, a motorbike was headed east on the Daguilar Highway when it has collided with a trailer being towed by a 4WD, also travelling east, near the intersection of Mary Smokes Creek Road.

The rider of the motorbike, a 27-year-old Moffat Beach man, died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the 4WD, a 33-year-old Beerwah man, was not physically injured.

Investigations are ongoing.
