A woman has died following a traffic crash at Newlands this morning, 28 October.
At approximately 9.15am, an Audi Quatro was traveling along Bowen Development Road when it has collided with an Isuzu D-Max.
The driver and sole occupant of the Audi, a 57-year-old woman from Roseneath, was declared deceased at the scene.
The 22-year-old male driver of the Isuzu sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Townsville Hospital.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or relevant vision to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
