The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious traffic crash in Widgee, 15 May.
Around 12.30am, police were called to Gympie Woolooga Road, near Little Widgee Rd, following reports of a single vehicle crash.
The driver of the Holden Commodore, a 30-year-old Widgee man, was transported to Gympie Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The passenger, a 31-year-old Peregian Beach man, was declared deceased at the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who has relevant dashcam vision or CCTV footage, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
