Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Condon

A woman has died in hospital following a fatal single vehicle traffic crash at Condon on Friday, 15 May.

Investigation indicates about 3pm, a silver Toyota Rav 4 was traveling along North Beck Drive, near the Ring Road on ramp, when the vehicle has left the road, and travelled up an embankment before coming to a stop.

The driver and sole occupant, an 83-year-old Kelso woman, was initially transported to Townsville University Hospital in a serious condition however passed away, as a result of her injuries, yesterday, 18 May.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
