Police responding to traffic crash at Pimpama 1 June

Police have arrested two teenagers following an alleged two-vehicle traffic crash in Pimpama on Thursday, June 1.

It will be alleged at approximately 4.40pm, a stolen white 2023 Mazda Cx5 was travelling southbound along the M1 when it crashed into a Mini Cooper S.

Three people travelling inside the allegedly stolen car left the scene of foot, and remain outstanding.

Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16-years-old, who remained at the scene were arrested and transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Mini Cooper S, a 56-year-old Tamborine Mountain woman, received minor injuries.

No other cars were involved.

No charges have been made at this time.

Detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit are investigating.

They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information or relevant dashcam vision to come forward.
