Police seek help to find missing man at Gap 1 May

Detectives are appealing for assistance to help locate a 26-year-old man who was last seen leaving the scene of a crash at The Gap yesterday morning (April 30).

The crash occurred around 5.30am on Mount Nebo Road where the man's car, a grey 2009 Nissan Murano, was found in bushland off the road.

Initial investigations suggest an altercation may have occurred with another vehicle causing the Nissan Murano to crash.

The driver, Praise Rufus-Ashiedu, has not been located since, despite an extensive search of the area today.

Praise is described as African in appearance, around 175cm tall and of a solid build.

Police are appealing to Praise, or anyone who knows his whereabouts, to come forward. Residents and business owners in the area are also asked to check their properties for any sign of him.

Detectives are also seeking dashcam and CCTV footage of a grey Nissan Murano with Queensland registration 829 LOS which was last seen travelling in the area between 5am and 5.40am.

Praise Rufus-Ashiedu, age 26
