Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man who was located with life-threatening injuries at Upwey last night.
Emergency services were notified that a man was located lying in the middle of Morris Road, about 80m north of Dean Road, shortly before 10pm.
He was taken to hospital where it was discovered he has a life-threatening head injury.
Police have made a number of enquiries to determine the man's identity however have been unsuccessful at this stage.
He is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his 30s or 40s, about 180cm tall with blue eyes and light brown hair that is shaved on the sides.
He has three tattoos - barbed wire on his left ankle, a Chinese character on his left pec and a jaguar on his right shoulder.
He was wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans, white runners and a silver wedding band.
Police have released several images of the clothes he was wearing in the hope someone will recognise them and assist in identifying the man.
Police are investigating to determine how he came to be injured but at this early stage in the investigation, it's not believed he was struck by a car or assaulted.
