Police are currently searching and appeal for public assistance to help locate missing Coburg North man Giovanni.
Police have been told the 77-year-old drove his wife to a medical appointment on Jukes Road in Fawkner about 3pm yesterday.
It is believed he told his wife he was going to another store and left in his Holden Commodore sedan.
He has not been seen since or in contact with his family.
Police and Giovanni's family have concerns for his welfare as this is out of character.
Giovanni may be travelling in a champagne-coloured Holden Commodore, registration SDC 053.
An image of Giovanni has been released in the hope someone will come forward with information about his current whereabouts.
Giovanni is described as having short grey hair with a solid build and was last seen wearing a grey jumper and black jeans.
