Police seek help to locate missing teen and baby

Police are appealing for public assistance as they search for missing girl, Chevvy, and a 20-day-old male baby.

It is understood the 17-year-old left the Sebastopol area with the infant between 2am and 3am on Wednesday, 28 December.

Police are concerned for their welfare due to the young age of the baby.

Chevvy left with a pram and suitcase of clothing, but it is not known what she was wearing.

Investigators have release images of Chevvy and the baby in the hope that someone recognises them and can provide information on their whereabouts.

It is believed Chevvy could have travelled to Ardeer, Sunshine, Horsham or NSW.

Anyone who sights them is urged to contact Ballarat Police Station on (03) 5336 6000.
