Police are appealing for information as investigations continue into an aggravated break and enter on the South Coast earlier this month.
Police were told about 12:30am last Saturday (18 July 2026), a 50-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were sitting in an SUV in a carpark on Sandpipe Way, near Jackson Finkernagel Reserve at Sussex Inlet, when they were approached by three men wearing balaclavas.
Police have been told the man and woman were forced from the vehicle, stole a handbag and mobile phone stolen before the three men drove away in the SUV. The car was later found empty in Harbord Street, Sussex Inlet.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District responded, locating the injured man and woman nearby.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated them for lacerations to the head and bruising before they were taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment. Police have been told the injuries are not life threatening.
Officers established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.
Police are urging anyone with information who saw have dashcam, CCTV or noticed anything suspicious between midnight and 2.30am in the vicinity of the Jackson Finkernagel Reserve to come forward and contact Nowra Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00.
