Police Seek Information After Assault - Strathfield 27 August

Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault at a train station in Sydney's inner west last month.

About 8:00am on Friday 31 July 2026, officers attached to the North West Police Transport Command responded to an alleged assault at Strathfield Railway Station.

Officers were told an unknown man had assaulted a woman by slapping her in the face.

No significant injuries were sustained.

An investigation into the incident commenced and police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Indian/Sub continental appearance, aged in his 30s, of slim to medium build, wearing a pair of glasses, a black puffer jacket, dark long pants, and white shoes.
