Police seek information after assaults - Surry Hills

Police have released images and are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into an assault at Surry Hills.

About 2.45pm on Friday 15 December 2023, a 51-year-old woman and another woman were walking together on Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills. At the same time, a male was walking in the opposite direction.

The man then pushed between the two women, causing one of the women to fall to the ground.

As a result, the woman's wrist was broken, which required surgery.

The assault was reported to officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command, who commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

As investigations continue, police have released images of a man who might be able to assist with inquiries.

The male described as being possibly Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 20-30 years old, dark complexion, braided black hair, a tattoo on his right arm, wearing an orange T-shirt, black three-quarter pants, grey cap and white/orange Asics runners. At the time he was carrying a yellow satchel.
