Police seek information after break-in and fire at school - Hume

Police are appealing for information following a break-in and fire at a school in The Hume district.

About 10.45pm yesterday (Thursday 27 May 2021), emergency services were called to a high school on Grampian Street, Yass, after a fire alarm was activated.

NSW Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze that was contained within the offices of the administration building. No structural damage has been identified.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District attended and commenced an investigation, discovering the administration office building had also been vandalised.

Today (Friday 28 May 2021), forensic officers attended and examined the scene.
