Police seek information after robbery - Murray River

Police are appealing for information as they investigate a robbery in the state's south earlier today.

About 1am (Tuesday 24 January 2023), police have been told a 26-year-old man was on Eden Street, Lavington, near the corner of Noorla Place, when he was approached by two unknown males in a vehicle.

The man continued to walk towards Union Road, when the vehicle stopped at the Brown Street intersection, and one of the unknown males exited the car and threatened the man, before chasing him.

The second unknown male then kicked the man, knocking him to the ground, before the pair stole his wallet and drove off.

The man was treated at the scene for cuts to his hands and feet.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified and have commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to two males who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as approximately 25 years old, with a thin build, short black hair and beard. He was wearing a white hooded jumper and a cross-body bag.

The second man is described as approximately 25 years old, with a dark complexion, black beard and moustache, and was wearing a black baseball cap.

They were travelling in a black Holden Cruise.
