Police seek information after St Kilda sexual assaults

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit is investigating two separate sexual assault incidents at bars in St Kilda last month.

Detectives have been told the first incident took place at a licensed premises on Acland Street on Sunday 13 February about 9.10pm.

In this incident an unknown man approached a woman at the main bar and grabbed her arm.

He then put an ice cube down the front of her dress and put his hand inside her dress.

Management was alerted and the man was ejected.

The second incident took place at a licensed premises in Blessington Street on Saturday 19 February about 8.50pm.

On this occasion a woman was approached by the same unknown man and a conversation started before she began to pass out.

Her friends observed the unknown man holding her up while trying to kiss her which they reported to management and the man was ejected.

The man is described as about 170cm tall with short dark-coloured receding hair and has an Irish accent.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
