Police seek information on Stealing with violence at Casuarina

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following an alleged stealing with violence incident at around 9:30pm last night.

The 72-year-old male victim was in his car behind Casuarina Library where two men and a woman approached him. The trio allegedly dragged the man from his vehicle, held an edged weapon against his neck, took his wallet then fled on foot. The man suffered minor grazes to his knee and did not require medical treatment.

Around 5:30am today, police CCTV operators observed a man fitting the description of a person of interest in Darwin City. Police attended and arrested a 19-year-old man. He is expected to be charged later today.

Police are seeking the whereabouts of the woman and second man. The man is described as Caucasian, in his early thirties, and with facial hair. The female is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, in her early twenties, of heavy build, and with her hair in a bun.
