Police seek information on Stolen vehicles in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have recovered two stolen vehicles from two separate incidents that occurred in the Greater Darwin Region yesterday.

A single cab Toyota Hilux was reported stolen from a Yarrawonga residence in the early hours of the morning. Strike Force Trident members obtained CCTV from local surrounding businesses. A forensic examination was conducted and further investigations remain ongoing.

A premises in the vicinity of Georgina Crescent, where the vehicle was recovered, was unlawfully entered just hours prior. It is believed that both reports could potentially be linked.

On a separate occasion in Moil, a dual cab Toyota Hilux had been located yesterday upon report of an abandoned motor vehicle. Strike Force Trident members established that the vehicle had been stolen and not yet reported at the time.

Members canvassed the area for CCTV and assisted with returning the vehicle to its owner.

Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said "Enquiries into both matters remain ongoing.

"Anyone who has further information are being urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
