Police seek information on Suspicious person at Rosebery

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a suspicious person who allegedly attempted to lure a young girl into his vehicle in Rosebery this morning.

At about 7:40am, a 12-year-old girl was walking to school on Kenbi Place when a car pulled up beside her, near the Odegaard Crescent round-a-bout. The male driver told her that he had been sent by her mother to collect her. The girl refused to go with the male who then drove away.

Police are seeking public assistance to identify the male and his vehicle.

The male is described as being in his 30's, with an olive complexion, bald or shaved head, wearing sunglasses and black shirt.

The vehicle is believed to be a white single cab utility with a tray back, bearing registration plates with a blue rim and black letters and numbers on a white background.

Members of the public are encouraged to remind children in their care of the 3 R's:

R - RECOGNISE danger

R - REACT by yelling out and running away

R - REPORT to a trusted adult
