Police seek information on Vehicle fire in Katherine 24 March

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a vehicle fire in Katherine yesterday.

Shortly before 1pm, emergency services received reports of a vehicle fire on Fordham Court in Katherine East. Fire and police crews arrived on scene and found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze, which destroyed one vehicle, and caused heat damage to a neighbouring vehicle.

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Lawson said, "Police believe this is an isolated incident and we are calling for any witnesses to come forward."

"Anyone with information, CCTV or mobile phone footage of any unusual activity in the area between 12pm and 1pm is asked to call police on 131 444. You can also anonymously contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference 9958705."
