Detectives are appealing for information following a home invasion and assault at a home in Dubbo overnight.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District were called to a residence on Stuart Street, Dubbo, about 10.20pm yesterday (Thursday 19 February 2026), with reports of a home invasion.
Police arrived and found the resident – a man in his 20s – with two minor lacerations to his abdomen.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated the wounds.
Police were told that the resident arrived home to find a door off its hinges, and flyscreen removed from a back rear window.
The resident confronted two unknown people inside the home wearing all black, and face coverings, before one of the intruders allegedly wounded him with a blade or knife. Both intruders then fled the scene towards Stuart Street.
