Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal fail-to-stop-crash yesterday in the state's south.
Emergency services were called to Watkins Avenue, Griffith, near Grange Close, shortly after 4.20am yesterday (Monday 28 April 2025) and found a man suffering multiple injuries.
NSW Ambulance arrived and commenced CPR; however, the 34-year-old man died at the scene.
Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Police believe the man has been struck by a vehicle, while walking along the roadway.
Police are appealing to speak with the drivers of two vehicles seen travelling west along Watkins Road, around the time of the crash, who may be able to assist with the investigation.
The vehicles are described as a light-coloured utility, possibly white or grey in colour and a dark coloured SUV.
Anyone with information, dashcam footage and/or CCTV footage in the vicinity of or who may have been travelling along Jondaryan Avenue, Griffith between 4am and 4.30am yesterday, are urged to contact Griffith Police on 02 6969 4299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
