Police seek witnesses - Crime Series - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a crime series that occurred last night in Palmerston.

At around 1am, it is believed a number of individuals unlawfully entered a commercial premises at a shopping centre in Roseberry.

A short time later, reports were received of an unlawful entry at a supermarket on Crosby Street in Zuccoli. It appears that six individuals were inside the premises for a short period of time before fleeing with a quantity of alcohol. A small white vehicle, possibly a Toyota Rav4, was observed in the area that is of interest to police.

A report was also received of an unlawful entry at a school on Farrar Boulevard in Johnston. A number of windows were smashed sometime during the night.

At this stage police believe the incidents are related and two male youths aged 16 and 17 have been arrested and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigations are continuing.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "Strike Force Trident detectives have made two arrests and are continuing to review CCTV. We are calling for further information from the public.
