Police seek witnesses - Robbery at Casuarina 23 May

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a robbery in Casuarina yesterday.

At around 3:30pm, an unknown male stole a handbag from a woman in a shopping centre.

The victim and a number of bystanders chased the offender, who dropped the bag and fled the scene, heading towards the bus exchange.

The man is described as Aboriginal, slim build with a short goatee and aged between 18 and 30. He was wearing an Oakland 30 singlet, grey shorts and a green camo hat. He also had a strap on his right knee.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "Anyone who witnessed the incident, specifically those who gave chase or know the identity of the male, are urged to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference 10014512."
