Police seek witnesses to aggravated robbery in Darwin City 15 June

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after an aggravated robbery at a supermarket in Darwin City yesterday morning.

At around 9:10am, a male attended the supermarket on Smith Street where he allegedly stole alcohol and attempted to flee the store. When confronted by an employee, he allegedly threatened them with an edged weapon before fleeing the scene.

The alleged offender is described as indigenous, wearing a blue checkered shirt, yellow bucket hat and purple backpack.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who can help identify the man, is urged to call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
