Police seek witnesses to Cardigan Village crash

Police are appealing for public assistance after a car crashed into a tree at Cardigan Village, Ballarat this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told the driver of a Holden utility was travelling west on Remembrance Drive when it crashed into a tree just after 7am.

The 19-year-old male driver and sole occupant was airlifted to Melbourne in a critical condition.

Ballarat Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
