Police seek witnesses to collision in Mulgrave

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and motorcycle in Mulgrave on Wednesday 13 May.

It's understood a brown Mitsubishi Triton ute 4x4 was driving south on Jacksons Road under the Monash Freeway overpass and attempted to turn right onto the city bound ramp before colliding with a grey and black Honda motorcycle about 5.15pm.

The motorbike rider, a 41-year-old Mulgrave man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital where he remains.

The driver, 38-year-old Mulgrave man, stopped at the scene to assist and has been released pending further enquiries.

Investigators wish to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
