Police seek witnesses to Footscray aggravated burglary

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are seeking to identify a man following an aggravated burglary in Footscray earlier this year.

Investigators were told the offender was let into an apartment building by a previous tenant on Moreland Street on Saturday 21 May around 11pm.

The male has then used a master / maintenance lift key to access various floors of the building.

The male then travelled to the top floor where he jumped a fence and accessed the penthouse apartment by an unlocked door about 3.15am on Sunday 22 May.

A female victim saw the offenders torch-light and yelled at the man who then fled the apartment and building.
