Police seek witnesses to Keysborough armed robbery

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at Keysborough last night.

A man armed with a firearm entered a bottle shop at the corner of Corrigan Road and Kingclere Avenue about 6.25pm.

The offender threatened the male staff member and ripped the cash register from the counter before fleeing in a grey Toyota RAV4.

The vehicle was located a short time later in Springvale South where it had been set on fire.

Investigators believe there was a man and woman in the store at the time who may have witnessed the armed robbery and urge them to contact police.

The offender is described as 180cm tall, solid build and was wearing black clothing.
