A man has been arrested, and police are seeking witnesses in relation to an alleged road rage incident that occurred on Monday night in Old Reynella.
Shortly after 8pm on 16 February, police were called to Main South Road at Old Reynella after reports a Ford ute had collided with a Holden wagon.
The driver of the ute then allegedly acted aggressively towards the driver of the Holden by exiting his vehicle and waving a shovel around.
Members of the public intervened and restrained the utility driver until police arrived. The man was arrested and taken to the Christies Beach Police Station.
Police were then made aware of an earlier road rage incident on Main South Road at Reynella. It will be alleged that the same ute rammed the rear of a Mazda wagon on numerous occasions.
None of the drivers or passengers were physically injured.
All three vehicles have been seized by police for forensic and mechanical testing.
The arrested driver, a 64-year-old Huntfield Heights man, was charged with two counts of driving without due care, aggravated acts to cause serious harm, disorderly behaviour, failing to stop and give particulars and failing to submit to a breath test.
He was issued a 12-month loss of licence, and after forensic examination, his ute will be impounded.
He has been bailed to appear at Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 16 April.
