Police seek witnesses to serious collision in Ballarat East

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and motorcycle in Ballarat East on Tuesday 7 January.

It is understood a 2015 white Triumph motorcycle and black Holden sedan were travelling on Victoria Street near the intersection of Queens Street when they collided about 5.35pm.

A 25-year-old Ballarat East man, the rider of the motorcycle, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 74-year-old Bacchus Marsh man, the driver of the car, was uninjured.

The exact circumstances of the crash are yet to be determined.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the white Triumph motorcycle travelling in the Ballarat area on the day of the collision.
