Police are investigating an incident in Darlington in which a man was shot by officers on Thursday 13 April 2017.
At about 5:30pm, the 29 year old man was in the passenger side a Ford Falcon sedan armed with a shot gun, WA Police say.
The officers have fired their weapons and the man received a number of gunshot wounds. Police administered first aid and St Johns Ambulance attended.
The man died at scene.
Major Crime Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting and the Police Internal Affairs Unit is conducting a separate inquiry into the shooting.
Anyone who may have information and have not been spoken to by police are asked to come forward.
