Police have arrested three men in relation to recent sexual offences on the public transport network and investigations are continuing into other reported incidents.
On Thursday 12 February, police arrested a 33-year-old Findon man in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl on a bus in the western suburbs. He was refused police bail and appeared in court last week, where he was remanded in custody. (CO2600006601)
On Sunday 8 February, a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with gross indecency and indecent behaviour following incidents on public transport at Golden Grove, Hillbank and Klemzig in recent weeks. He was refused police bail and appeared in court last week, where he was remanded in custody. (CO2600005736, CO2600005559)
A 42-year-old Paralowie man was arrested on 30 January and charged with indecent assault. It will be alleged the man assaulted a young woman on a bus at Crafers that day. The offending was stopped when a member of the public intervened. The arrested man was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 19 March.
Police thank the members of the public who came to the assistance of victims and prevented further offending.
